The Becoming of Magdalenemedia…
From the beginning, my path has woven art, body and spirit together. I first trained as a tailor and costume designer for theatre in the early 2000s, before stepping onto the stage through Dance Theater & Dance Therapy. In 2007, my practice deepened with Dance Meditation which became my doorway toward Tantra. Pilgrimages to India and initiations into Tantric meditation practices opened a new dimension in my work: the body as a temple & playground for Self expression and for healing through Art.
In 2009 I entered Drama School, and by 2011 Paris called. I lived there for two years in an ongoing love affair with the city, that shaped both my art and my presence. My poetry book ” Singing of the Magdalene ” is based on the Tantric work throughout these years up until 2024.
Short films ( with all-female casts ), exploring myth and female Identity through archetypes became a container where Empowerment, Art & Healing magickally became ONE. I realized, the Guide (Healer), and the Director were also the Actor. Divine Feminine Storytelling as MAGDALENEMEDIA was born.
Around 2020, I began with pilgrimages through France, filming and recording women’s voices in churches and cathedrals. The reclamation of the Divine Feminine in spaces long silenced became – and still are – a passionate rememberance of other lifetimes and a calling to reclaim the Voice of the feminine Christ. It was in this period, that The MAGDALENE Archetypes – ” my ” core Empowerment teachings – revealed themselves to me.
My lens has always been drawn to Women. Interestingly though I have worked as a Tantra guide more with Men. I love seeing them in their power & potential. And I love seeing Women in their power on screen, while creating spaces for this to take place.
The first Women I photographed on analog film were in 2000, and that thread continued toward filming them. After more than twelve years as a Tantric Guide, my work now fuses embodiment with art, where media offers a ritual space for reconciliation, and storytelling a healing vessel for self-expression.
I love being the eyes & the voice of the Divine Mother, for Her to play through me as She pleases, while calling in honor and respect for the very force that created this epic existence.
Bringing Divine Feminine Consciousness to life within Men & Women, is my joyful & exhilarating pleasure.
